Rubber on Bling!

What is the best way to remove the melted rubber from my brand new boots on the shinny bling of the V&H :(" title="" border="0"/>?

Went for a nice ride yesterday, enjoying the caddman/tfi/ultimate baffles mods I had done and never noticed my brand new boots melting on the nice shinny pipe!

WD-40 will take it off.

Easy-Off oven cleaner on cold pipes. In fact, Cobra recommends that.

I had the same problem....and what worked for me was this:

Get #0000 steel wool (Home Depot).....and some WD 40....spray a bit on and rub it off with the steel wool. The #0000 steel wool is so fine that with the oil you cannot possibly scratch the chrome with it.

DO NOT use the kitchen variety steel wool....you WILL scratch the chrome with that.... !

I tried everything with not much luck before trying this. It worked great and never left a mark... ! Good luck!

I recommend always a cold pipe. WD-40 is a flammable liquid which means on a hot pipe it may tarnish.
