Kawasaki newbie in Central Florida

Greetings everybody,been riding since 1953 and I've owned a few bikes but just bought my first Kawasaki, a red/pearl 1700 Nomad. Love the bike and I've just done a lot of customizing to it. Installed a cup holder and a RAM GPS mount! ::) Next is a chrome license plate bracket to make her truly unique!!! Who needs OCC!
Last bike I bought was a Goldwing and I got my riding buddy of 35 years or so to ride it and he bought one too. Now he is riding a different Japanese bike (can you say Suzuki?) and I let him ride this one and he is starting to get the itch. He has asked me to never let him ride my bikes again.
Got a lot to learn about these bikes and I appreciate the opportunity to do that here.

Amazing, you all have beautiful bikes. Looks like there will be a lot of company on the road.
And Ringadingh, last summer's trip was to Cape Breton and back, 5020 miles. Sorta' tentative right now but I'm linin' up a shorter trip to Ontario this coming June and close by to you as a matter of fact. St. Thomas, Brantford (see a friend who trucks his HD down here every winter) Grand Valley to see a cousin then probably to Montreal to see another cousin.
Make sure its cool up there will ya'.
Yep, goin' for a little putt. Thats what I always say to my wife.

Kiddin' aside, I'll tell ya' every once in a while you might run into another rider on, oh, maybe a HD (just once in a while) who might want to tell ya' about the benefits of ridin' one and here is what is really thrilling...
tellin' em you were ridin' one before they were born. Now that, mon bonne homme, is thrilling!
Its about the only benefit I have left.
