Liz and I rolled in about 40 minutes ago. Bikes are unpacked and now setting here checking emails. We only hit a couple of sprinkles, some just north of Springfield and some more about 20 miles south of Macon at the north side of the cold front. Run out of 55 degree weather and right into 69 degree weather with sunshine. And now it just started raining. So I guess our timing was perfect.

Glad to hear that everyone had good weather so far. Zoom, Vickie & Jamie could be late looked like there could have been weather in south AR and MS. Had a great time, so nice to be able to put faces on these names. Oldbikers, pictures are on the way!

Bobby and Vickie (Zoom45) just got home at 6:45. (That included about a 2 1/2 hour lay over at a casino in Vicksburg, MS. LOL). It rained a lot most of the way but nothing real hard. When I closed the garage door it started raining real hard at the house. Jamie split off from us at Greenville to go see his mom so I haven't heard from him since then. We had a great time! I hope we can do it again real soon. It was great to finally meet everyone. Let's plan another mini-rally for later this summer after Custer before it gets cold. On the way back Jamie had a black coyote run out in front of him and just missed him. Jamie tapped his brake and never swerved. We saw the coyote coming across a field and he never slowed up.

I made it home about 3 O'clock this afternoon. Zoom and I ran into some nasty stuff pretty much in the whole state of Arkansas. Didn't clear up til we crossed the Mississippi River into Greenville. Now it's storming in central Mississippi. Bobby will tell ya that even though we hit some bad weather, we still made pretty good time. I had a blast the last few days and can't wait til next year. I appreciate Oldbiker putting all this together as I can't make it to Custer this year. Hopefully I'll make the next one in two years. One thing, though, I gained a lot of confidence the last few days. Because if you can make some of those turns we made, every other road or highway I drive on now seems like a piece of cake. Thanks to Watchman and Nomad Liz for heading up the group and planning the rides. One a personal note, for some strange reason I don't think I'll be craving biscuits anytime soon. lol Thanks to everyone. You were all great to be around. Now see, you can't shut me up on this thing. Jamie

Thanks for asking LW...you missed a good rally.

I made it home about 5:30pm today. Took all day getting home due to all the rain. I left Jeff in Mineola, TX as he was headed West on Hwy 80 towards home.

After Jeff and I ate breakfast with Jim & Liz this morning in ES, we left for home running down the Pig Trail (hwy 23). I had not one, but two deer jump in front of me while we rode to Ozark, AR.

The rain started coming down heavy around Caulksville, AR. Jeff and I stopped and put on our rain gear. As we headed South the rain got heavier. It finally let up in Idabel, OK.

Hopefully Jeff will check in fairly soon.

It was great to get to meet all of you. Jim & Bea, I want to thank you for a great rally. Also, Jim & Liz did an excellent job with our routes. Bobby & Vicki, Jesse, Jamie and Gene, it was great to meet all of you guys.

I look forward to seeing you guys again.

BTW, Jesse, Jim and anybody else that can send me their CD's with pics of the rally, please send them to:

Looks like you guys had some great riding through that area. Wish I could've gone, but work and finances didn't come together like I'd hoped. Maybe next year or this fall..

Yeah, I found myself having to shift, so I grabbed the clutch right quick and swung the camera on my wrist. I believe that was 123 we were on Jim.

Cool video Trip.. I wasnt able to make the rally as I was sent for some training.. I have rode that same hwy several times, and was there on it 3 weeks ago with a group.. Cant beat the Ozarks for the scenery.. Sounds like you guys got a little rain..Glad everyone made it home safely.

I think Trip and I actually swam part of the way back. We went through some very deep water and some massive rain. The scariest part was when we saw lightning. Now, as you can see, I have metal spikes on the top of my helmet. I had this image of myself being lit up like a Christmas tree out there.

It was a great ride and the company was fantastic. Oldbikers was great and really made the get together a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone for a really fun time!
