Thunder in the Cascades?

Good Afternoon All.

My name is Sam, and I have a problem.

Audience replies: "" Hi, Sam"

Being young, only having a bike for four years, and not being from a motorcycle family, ...I have never been to a bike week.

Audience gasps in unison.

Being a teacher, I never want to take the time off during the school year for Daytona or Myrtle Beach. I'm not the 3600 mile round trip type person either, to make it to South Dakota.

I have actually found an event that fits with my schedule AND won't wear my butt out like a weekend in prison.

It is Thunder in the Cascades at Coopers Lake, north of Pittsburg, PA. June 25-28. This is the same place that host the midievil Pennsic event. I have friends that have done that, so I know the place is nice, but has anyone ever been to this event? Or better yet. Does anyone plan on going?

I plan on camping and being there from start to finish. Any tips on the bike week experience, how to pack properly, what exactly I need would be greatly appreciated.
