Do we follow the same politics with the same cast of politicians? I understand that people dislike Obama but to make such a statement thats so far from true reality shows a persons inability to reason. I don't hold it against you. People on the left did it to Bush, people on the right do it to Obama. Its all politics and I think one of the leading problems with this country. When Sarah Palin was put on the ticket as vice president her credentials were... 4 years city council 1992-1996 6 years as a city Mayor 1996-2002 population maybe 10,000 in the city limits and maybe 70,000 in the county limits? (pretty sure I am exaggerating HIGH) Look into the $50,000 office renovation thats been equated to looking like a brothel. When asked about it she retorted she could do what she wanted as Mayor until the courts told her differently. Governor State of Alaska 2006-2009 Also filled with Scandal with abuse of power allegations. Ultimately why she left because of the ethics investigations. She has zero national experience and until recently had never traveled outside of North America. She would have been the first vice president in over 32 years to have never even met a foreign leader before election. She rants and raves against a socialist medical system yet routinely traveled(s) to Canada for treatment for her family members. So you have a person who the only job she ever held as a leader above city government ended in scandal and ethics violations and thinks whats good enough for her family isn't good enough for the American people with regards to health care. Now we get to Obama. He served 7 years in the Illinois senate. 1997-2004 I think it is ironic that this liberal socialist as people refer to him helped pass HB0204 in the Illinois senate. This is also referred to as welfare to work act. Served 3 years as a US Senator. 2005-2008 While he left his office early (comparable to Sarah Palins stint as Governor) it was to run for President of the United States. What doesn't compare is his record of zero ethics violations. During his term as senator he sat on or chaired various committees including... Foreign Relations, Environment and public works, Veterans Affairs, Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Homeland Security, and Government Affairs. Yeah your right he never completed a term in elected office or has executive experience ::) He was also taught constitutional law. This in itself is a pretty hefty bonus in my book to even think of running for President. You don't just read it, you teach it. Tell me again why Sarah is so much better or qualified other then she is white, good looking, and NOT a liberal. Let me reiterate when I say it isn't personal for my disregard of Sarah Palin. I think she is stretching her 15 minutes of fame for the betterment of her family financially (SMART MOVE) but she is never and will never be a legitimate nominee for President. |

We all enjoy a healthy debate. No need to get worked up with people that might not agree with you. |

Debating is about Facts. This is the problem with politics. People don't like facts. When I debate I lay out my opinion which is supported by facts. Please read above if the words are not to big for you. If they are please let me know so I can try to speak in a much simpler and slower tone on the keyboard. I personally think Obama is to far left ( I already said I am an independent). I was not defending Obama but merely pointing out that he is fact more qualified then the pilf (I so want to trademark that term ) mentioned above. Now if you dear sir would like to get YOUR head out of your ass please step back, take a long deep breath and lay out some facts. I would suggest returning to school and studying Lincoln Douglas debating techniques. I know there are some big words but i have faith that you can do it. If you cannot feel free to email Sarah Palin maybe she can tell you it's gods will or something to give you some incentive. ::) I actually enjoy debating with people. Well those people that can acknowledge each others points of view. Burying your head in the sand refusing to listen and educate yourself is the sign of an ignorant person. Even the left has idiots. http://www.mediaite.com/tv/msnbcs-ma...f-federal-law/ Want to play some more? |

I think this "debate" has gone far enough on this thread and this "debate" should end right here and now.
Anytime two member start getting personal, that's when the lights need to be turned out -- so leave this one alone. ;)

OK guys, no more personal shots. Debate is good as long as it remains civil.
