Fuel Pump Whine

While in the Hill Country last week, my fuel pump started making a continuous whining noise. A few of us there listened to it and we all agree that it sounds like it is coming from the pump. Opening the gas cap made it sound much louder. I swung by my dealer today in my truck and spoke with the shop foreman and general manager about it. They told me it's not a common thing for the fuel pump to fail but to bring it by and they would listen to it and call Kawasaki about replacing the pump under warranty. It comes and goes so I will bring it by and let them replace it while I'm working. They will have to order the pump. It isn't a stock item like everything else for a Nomad. They have a very nice new Voyager there that I sat on and started getting the itch. I got off of it quick enough before doing something crazy.
