If you pull a trailer a lot consider going to a car tire for the rear. 195/65R-16.

This brick has apx 8,500 on it

As you can see it is deader than dead..

The new tire is a Dunlop Sp Sport 5000 in 195/60/R16.

I like IT!

Here's a pic of my stock tire and the tire I replaced it with. It's a Yokohama 195/80R-16.

I don't recommend that anyone go to this size tire.

1. I had to modify the gusset in the right front part of the swing arm to clear the tire.

2. I think the sidewall is just too tall. I get some wobble at speeds over 75 when encountering a difference in pavement height, like when lanes are being repaved.

One thing this size tire did accomplish is it corrected all the speedometer error.

I have nearly four thousand miles on this tire now and there is no discernible wear yet. It handles curves and twisties (like the dragon) just as good as the original tire. I doubt that I will go back to a motorcycle rear tire. I will however go to a smaller size such as a 195/65.

P.S. The stock 'Stone had 7966 miles on it in this picture.

Next time I'll probably go with the one macmac has.

Bob since I went with the Dunlop I find 'we can go with the Goodyear 205/60/R16. There is minimal clearance at the drive shaft tube, but there is clearance. The trad pattern on that tire is the cat's a$$....

Hmmm, I will look into that one as well. However, as dkdixie said this weekend, when he looked at my car tire, that tire will probably last until you're sick of it and you change it just to get rid of it! :) :)
