I stopped at harbor freight on my way to work I didn't see any set up so I asked a employee and he said they must of sold the floor model but we have them in the back. I asked if they would have one set up by next week because I wanted to see one before I buy. He said they will, So I'll stop next week.

motorcycle lift
Does anyone other than me have a hard time getting a lift that looks like "nomadman"'s under their Nomad? I have to hold/pull the bike up with one hand while stooping down to negotiate the lift under the bike. These lifts seem too high. Not enough clearance between the lift and the frame of the bike. This one being talked about looks like it might not have the clearance to roll under the bike either. It also looks wide to the point where there may be a lack of room between the two wheels. Or did I miss something?
AND ! you might need to have a "two car garage" to work with this thing. Yes I can run the bike up on to a couple of pieces of 2x4's or 2x6's to raise the bike . That'll make it easier, but it's still a P.I.T.A. to do that and then run the lift under the bike. Is there one out there that has the clearance to just be pushed under the bike and start to jack the bike up? I have one of these ![]()

First I push my bike with the front wheel on a couple of wooden shelfs.
After that, there is enough space to get the lift easily under the frame A very stable and save way of lifting the bike. Greetz Nomadman. ![]() ![]() Login or Register to Remove Ads |

OK I bought one on sale for 169.99 plus I had a 20% coupon. What I saved with the coupon I bought the two year warranty. Mary Christmas to me

You know I told my wife tonight that I was going to need a "lift" for the bike this spring.
She thought I was talking about getting a geriatric-device that would lift ME up and put me on the bike!!! LOL!!! (I think?) She is in the dog-house tonight!!!! ![]()

Yeah, I hear you. ;) She's a great person, but a lot younger than I am -- so I get all the grief about "aging"!!

I have the jack like yours, but I'd like to get the lift that you ride on and it lifts from both tires. I think it would be more stable. There were times when I had the Nomad on the lift and it was like the tail wagging the dog.

Yes, exactly. Harbor Freight has them as well and I have seen $200 off coupons for them too in the bike magazines.
