I agree with yellow jacket. Her husband has probably put her on the spot before. Doing in front of strangers can be intimidating to many. I offered it to my wife, Denise, several times but she's happy riding pillion. Like mac's wife, Denise is an awesome partner. I too have to reach back and check to see if she jumped or not.

Tammy wants to ride her own bike some day, probably not in the near future. I don't think I have pressured her to make that decision at all. Heck, it is odd for me to ride without her on the pillion seat. I think about 95% of the 46K we have put on the bike have been two-up and we've enjoyed ever minute (well, not the 30 seconds on the Dragon pulling the trailer where we almost died, but that is another story... ;) )

Guys - do me a favor.

From a pillion riding view, I do want to ride my own bike some day but not right now when we still have a young one at home. But one of the reasons I want to ride my own is because how impressed I am with the gals I have seen ride, you Nancy, Amy, and Natalie, Mike from Florida's wife. You gals are very impressive and make it seem so fun. But I also have concerns, my attention span, my ability to take pics as a passenger, and some arthritis I have in my right hand. Definitely feel no pressure from anyone, just inspiration. Will see how it goes. But don't feel bad about the situaton, you did nothing wrong, how could someone as magical as you do anything wrong?

I promise to leave it be. My wife is welcome to ride with me and can do what she wants. After nearly four decades of marriage, we respect each others feelings. I suspect the couple in question are working on other issues as well.

Tammy....Ken did not ride when our kids were young...he sold his bike and got one again when they got older. I did not start riding until about 9-10 yrs ago (you can do the math -you know I'm no spring chick). Anyway I hear ya. I m beginning to have some arthritis in my hands, knees, hips. LOL.

I still think if Trip every decides to have a Kawnow photography historian......you'd be perfect.

Ahh...billmac....You are probably so right about 'other issues'. Four decades.....congrats!!!!

But that 30 seconds makes for a good story though. ;)
