Inexpensive tire repair kit / pump?

This summer I'm going to be doing a lot more travelling on the bike and have been building up a nice little emergency repair / tool kit to carry on the bike.

The only two pieces I'm now missing that I figure I should probably carry are a puncture repair kit and small pump.

Has anybody ever used one of the inexpensive repair kits on ebay. Something like this:

I'm also looking for a really small compressor that ideally is powered off of a cigarette lighter adapter (hooked up to accessory connectors under seat) and is capable of blowing up the tires on my nomad no problem.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Slick
