Am I going nuts, or what?
Did you actually measure the tire after it was installed on the rim? Remember mounting a tire on a 3.5" rim which is meant to be mounted on a 6" rim will pull the sides in approximately 3/4" which also causes the diameter to grow a little. Hence fewer rpms. My 175/60/16 should be right at 1" shorter than stock, but the difference in wheel size make it in reality about 1/4" shorter.

I've been running a Goldwing tire for about 8 years, and the CT tire was the exact same height as the old tire, besides, 1 inch higher in no way would give me that much more millage to a tank on fuel!
