Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't even think about that. The sticker sits on the horrible black plastic thingee the dealer throws on there. I'm honestly not sure if the plastic would bend that much without snapping, but I'll give it a look at today.

Well, at the very least this gives me an opportunity to get some new bling for the bike - new license plate bracket!

I wound up clipping the black plastic holder, and bending the part with the state inspection sticker until it was horizontal. Luggage rack fit right in then. Still gonna get that stainless license plate holder though. LOL

I have a Cobra rack too and I cut off the plate the sticker is on.
There is just enough room for the sticker once you trim the plate down.

No inspection in Illinois....just a plate with a renew sticker in the corner of the plate.

I honestly find that so odd that some states do not have a vehicle inspection! Never heard of such a thing.
