Nomad 1500 vs 1600?

Hello all! I've had an 03 Nomad 1500 for 5 years now and love it. I just found an 08 Nomad 1600 locally with only 14,000 miles on it and am thinking about upgrading. Will all the accessories I have put on my 03 1500 fit onto the 08 1600? Light bars, chrome side covers, Vance and Hines duals, etc? Thanks

Probably not.

Personally I would skip the 1600 Nomad and go to a 1700 Nomad, Vaquero or Voyager.

I think the exhaust will fit, but not much else.

The forks are wider on the 1600 so the light bar won't fit. Windscreen won't fit, either. I think the exhaust will be fine.

If you want to upgrade, I'd do what redjay said and buy a 1700. I had both an '07 1600 and a '14 1700. The 1700 Nomad was worlds better than the 1600 in power, comfort and amenities. The only areas where the 1600 excelled was leg room (but not by a whole lot) and bags. The top loader bags on the 1700 were flimsier than the side loaders on the 1600 Nomad (and all Vaqueros). Honestly, were I to buy another Vulcan (and I won't), I'd buy a Vaquero. Better bags, radio, K-ACT, electronic cruise control, decent wind protection (at least with a bigger windscreen), and some pretty badass looks.

I put the exhaust off of 1500 drifter onto my 1600 nomad bolted up just fine. I would love to have a 1700 Voyager or vaquero but I can't afford all that so I converted my 1600 nomad with a Voyager front fairing
