Question tourpack wiring hookup and function

I own a 2015 Vaquero and previous owner had installed a Harley tour pack. I recently purchased a Voyageur tour pack and want to install it. Previous owner has 4 wires in a connection with 1 ground, 1right turn, 1 left turn and one brake. The Voyageur tour pack has one ground, one left turn and one right turn wire for a total of 3 wires. I hooked up the grounds and left and right turn signals. When I turn on the left turn signal the whole light bar flashes. When I turn on the right turn signal the whole light bar flashes. I also noticed there are no running lites on the tour pack. So is normal for the entire light bar to be flashing when it is switched on for left or right turn signals. I thought only half the light bar would flash for left and right or is this they way they work with the 3 wire connection. Also when I turn on the left turn signal it flashes not as bright as when I turn on the right lite signal. Sure would like some info. on this . Thanks in advance

This one's easy... The Voyager tour pack does not have left or right turn. It has brake & tail light only. It sounds like you've hooked up the left turn wire to the tail light, and the right turn wire to the brake light.

Thanks for the input Peg. So if I understand correctly I don't need the left and right turn signal wires. If so then the brake wire would hook up to one of the wires and I would have to run a wire from my running stock lights to the tour pack. Is that correct?
