Thanks Mike(mbarr10) and Smokier. Sometimes talking to someone that has the product, is better than talking to someone at the company that sells it. Nice enough lady but really didn't know much about the product except for what was wrote down for her to regurgitate.
I will be sticking with the RDL on order. as I need to raise up and back some for leg room.

Yes. Had them do it on the Nomad. So I know the comfort will be there.
I also have Chuckesters brake and shifter extensions, which helps a lot with foot/leg room. I know I won't get the room the 1600 has, but there's a few other perks that make up for it. And I have rode it enough with the stock seat, that it should be good with the RDL.

Greetings All,
Well the test ride was a success! We put a little over 60 miles on yesterday. The RDL is taller, maybe taller than the Mustang was. However, it did not feel closer to the bars like with the Mustang. Will take a little getting used to the height after riding a shaved stock seat for the past year. Momma enjoyed her Victory Cross Roads. Lighter, a little lower and more power to boot. The PO of the Cross Roads had a PCV installed and (apparently) tuned. That dang machine runs! I am a little jealous. |

One of the guys I ride with has a Cross Roads with a performance cam and dyno tuned.
The thing out runs anything around and sounds great with the XC pipes!

RDL taller than a mustang??
I felt the mustang was tall enough so I will narrow down my collection to deciding which one of these 3 are the best for me. Tried all 3 yesterday and can not decide with out a warmer day and more than 25 miles without shivering in the saddle.

I think at least a couple of hours is needed to find out if a seat is working for you.

I had the RDL seat on my Victory for about 2 weeks then went for a 1600 mile ride. Man I love this seat.
