I'll do my best at explaining this very simple procedure ... First I would completely disconnect the battery . Then , depending on how handy you are , remove the tank . you can however just lift the tank from the back and propping it up with a piece of wood but believe me removing the tank is a lot easier . Trust me I know !
Now on the power commander you'll see a black ground attached somewhere to the negative battery post ( remove ) Then , there will be another wire ( I think Grey ) that goes to the TPS sensor which is located aprox at the top of the throttle body ( remove ) The last thing is to remove the injector clips . Just do one at a time so you reconnect the proper injector clip to right injector . Once your in there you'll know what I'm talking about . Last thing I would do is to make sure you cover up or seal any wiring that could be exposed with shrink tubing or silicone . The last thing you want is an electrical issue before you can enjoy Ivans magic . Hope this helps . Others will chime in also with there expertise as well . |

I got my Vaquero " Ivanized " last spring and wow , there are no words that can explain the improvement it made . Good luck with the change over !!

The current Ecu's do not have issues, its the programming that stops the 1700 from reaching its potential. Ivans reflash fixes that.
