Acceleration spitting

While accelerating i get a spitting sometimes. I put new gas in the bike but while accelerating in 2nd or 3rd gear it starts to spit a little. I ride a VN1700 classic. I also have a FI2000 Powerpro with the cibra slahdown pipes on the bike. I spoke with cobra an they said that i might have adjust the unit to give a little more fuel or take some away. Now in this case if its spitting does that mean its not getting enough fuel or getting to much help if you can thanks

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "spitting"?

If its from the intake, its lean. You did not mention an intake change of any kind, so thinking its stock. You may have an intake leak, not unheard of on the 1700s.

I just had the second gear replaced in the bike you think it's from them opening up the bike to repair that an it not being tight correctly.

Well there was a loss of power I. Second gear that's fixed but the factory at Cobra said that my fuel processor could be the reason of the sputtering. So I'm going to try to adjust it to se if it cleans it up thanks everyone. I'll let y'all know the results

Disconnect or turn the processor off. If the problem goes away you have it isolated. If not, then you won't waste time trying to adjust it out.
