clutch line on 1700 nomad
Has anyone extended the clutch hose on the 1700?
I might need an extended line, and here is my question. The stock hose goes from hose to hard line by the slave cylinder. Has anyone put a regular soft hose to banjo fitting there?

I will be ordering a custom soft line from Spiegler before too long. I have a set of bars to install, but need to find time and order extended everything.

Do they run to a hard line or are you going Hose the entire way?

okay, so... I got my bike back from the shop (22500 and 26000 mile services) and finally got a chance to look at the clutch line. The banjo fitting and bolt are on the outside. There is no reason a soft hose will not work the entire length.

It will be a soft hose the whole way. I suppose you could remove the stock hose and ship it to someone or take it to a local shop and have them cut the upper part off and crimp an extended upper part on, but that would mean being without bike, which doesn't work for me.

I have changed mine to stainless steel brake line all the way for the clutch as well.

I installed new bars. I got 12" Bagger Bars. Super comfortable, wider than the bars I had on originally. I tried to fit the bars, but the clutch and brake hoses were just a tad too short. I ordered +6 stock lines from Cycle Brakes. They were significantly easier than I thought they would be to install. The hardest part was bleeding. We had a hard time getting the fluid to gravity bleed at first. Anyways, you can look at pictures here. They are in with all the Nomad pictures that I have, but they are easy to find.
