I finally got real world numbers on my Vaquero. Very happy with the results.

81.63 RWHP and 101.70 ft. lbs. Torque. SAE numbers not STD. ( and I dont mean sexually transmitted disease lol)

The AFRs were around 13:1 across the entire power band, which is perfect for me. I could lean out a little more if I choose to squeeze out a pony or 2 but I rather keep the motor running cool. The bike had one rich spot when acceleration fuel kicked in and it dropped to 12:1. I adjusted Yellow fuel down to 2.5 and it helped a little on the 3rd run. I also dropped Red fuel to 1. I still get some muffled pops at 2100 rpm closed throttle, however with the way the bike is performing I can live with it. Average 42 mpg. Bike is running much cooler also

Final settings

GB 6. G 3
YB 3 Y 2.5
RB 4 R 1

Finally got a chance to run your previous numbers today and just wanted to say thanks for how sweet mine was running with the same intake and exhaust as yours...just updated the EJK to these numbers and can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

Vega that's great....always nice when you get things tuned in right....and nice numbers on your runs also. I have my Vaquero right where I want it too. Someday I will try to get it on the dyno down in town at M-tech and see what kind of numbers I'm looking at running around at 3,000 ft. above sea level and higher out here where I live. Congrats.

Ken thanks for the settings. I entered them on my 09 Nomad and it is very smooth however it felt like the engine was heating up a little. My Nomad doesn't have a temp guage and I was going on feel alone. I have a Thunder Air kit with V&H twin slash slip ons. According to the average MPG indicator it looks like it might get better millage. Again thanks for the post.

Hey Ken, what kind of fuel mileage were you seeing with those settings? I'm running the below and getting 31-32. Use to get 36-38 stock and havent really changed the way I use the throttle.

Vance & Hines Duals
Chuckster BAK

EJK settings:
Green-3
Yellow-2.5
Red-1
GB-6
YB-3
RB-4
Elevation-7

Try lowering your green fuel to 2 or even 1.5 this should get some of your fuel economy back.
I have since switched to the Power Commander V. I finally got rid of the decel pops. The bike is running phenomenal. Avg 40 mpg if I stay out of the throttle and keep it below 80 mph on highways.

Hey Ken, I'm still trying to decide if I will ever go with a different intake. The bike has a good amount of power for me with stock right now. I have the Cobra Scalloped tip slip on exhaust and the rest is stock. What I want to know is whether or not the EJK will be useful. The bike actually runs pretty good, but there is a little back fire at a certain RPM and my gas mileage hasn't been as good as others I have been reading about.

The Power Commander 5 with Ignition control $279 shipped from Motomummy.com. the PCV solved my popping issues. The bike is pulling like a freight train and averaging abou 38-40 mpg in mixed driving. The EJK is a good product, just not as tunable as the PCV. Hopefully I can scratch together some coin soon to have RacnRay do a custom tune on my bike.

Make sure you block the Fresh Air hose that is behind the right side dogbowl at 11 o'clock or you will never get rid of the pops.
