Like Hayrider said I would call V&H, could be a QC issue with the position of the brackets, have not seen many and not seen this one, but V&H does have an issue now and then. JMO

Brian
studied your pic and I believe the bell is to large for your pipe that is inserted there. there is a slight bubble or wrinkle if you will at the relief cuts. I would try to find a thicker gasket material to wrap the pipe or have a muffler shop make a sleeve and have it welded to your muffler and then insert and clamp it on.
but like others have said, call V&H its their issue

Vance and Hines said this is the first they have heard of this issue. They recommended adding high temp gasket when I installed it. I bought the pipes second hand and even though they only had a few miles on them, warranty was out of the question. I did better and shaved the little alignment tab and bought a 1'' heavy duty exhaust clamp. the extra width of the clamp covered the exposed slots and sealed the exhaust.

I haven't had a chance to look at mine yet but I think it may be doing the same thing. Do you have a link for the clamp that you purchased?

Brian - I have been battling the EXACT SAME THING on my 2011 Voyager. Got the V&H twin slashes in May and have been dealing with this same exhaust leak since. My slip-ons too do not look like they go in all the way in the head pipes- and I suspect not fully compressing the gasket as a result. Have tried new gaskets (twice) and still no luck. I had not thought of trying a wider clamp. Do you by chance have the model number or link for that clamp? I will call V&H myself and report as well

Go buy a couple of Harley exhaust clamps. They are much better than the V&H clamps.

You are right cactusjack, the HD clamps are superior to the Kawi clamps. But HD only has the 2" diameter clamps. Need 2.25" diameter for the head pipe flange here. (Reference Brian's orig OP pic). I tried HD, Napa and all other parts stores around my area this morning. Think after 2 months of tying to fix this I'm just going back to stock pipes and hanging up the quest for the V&H's. Tired of not being able to ride on the few free moments I have in My week
