There has been a Nat Champ game pitting the two best teams o D1 football since 1997. The Puny12 has no wins since then. There brand of power puff football can't stand up to power football out of the south and mid-west. Sorry for your loss!

Hate to say it Bill, but #1 and #2 was beaten soundly by #4 this year. So, the #1 vs #2 really doesn't hold up well.

Bad year every now again. But in the history of college championship games, the PAC 12 has zero wins while the SEC has 9. Its not who get there that counts its who wins unless you want to brag abut being the first to lose

Just learned that I will have the week of 6-15-15 off. I am now a go for Tahoe! Looking forward to putting a face to some of the characters on this forum. I'm hoping to join up with anyone passing through Vegas for the ride up to Tahoe. I may be riding with Sin City Stan (if he can make it) but the more the merrier!

See link.Seems that up until 2014 the only difference was the "selecting" organization. Only 1 True (had to win a playoff) Champion to date...Ohio State.

If you are going by "Selecting Org" ...I count 9 PAC 8/10/12 titles. BCS was a farce...no better than AP, Coaches poll.

I count 9 Championships just for USC.(31,32,62,67,72,74,78,03,04)

Cal has 3 (20,21,22),

Stanford with 1(26), and UCLA with 1(54).

Cliff - you are right. All those were the result of a vote not a game played between No. 1 and No2*. That did not happen until the BCS started in 1997 and the PAC 12 has not won Nat Champ Game since then. Ck out:

Ted Miller is a P12 groupie. If you want to believe that coaches on SC did not know of the pay for play your welcome to that belief. But I don't think folks many south of the MD line buy that. Bottom line, they vacated it and thus no P12 wins.
