Clearview Windshield installation on Nomad 1600

Bought the large recurve windshield and "almost" got it totally installed. The top two middle holes are off with the two large chrome brace strips top holes. Any suggestions what what to do or what mistake I made would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Figured it out...just took a little wiggling and moving around.

I may be looking to install new windshield on a 1600

Please let us know how you like it, and where you got it from. Thanks!

Mike how do you like your new clearview windshield? Did you get stock height or different? recurve? tint or clear? I'm needing a new one too. My stock is so checked that when sun reflects through it I can't see anything. It's like the whole thing is one check(fissure) from sitting out in sun every day at work.

I installed a stock height extra width with a recurve and vent at the beginning of this season and its worked great so far. The material is thicker but is still optically correct.

I thought the vent was just fluff but it really works. Between it, the recurve and the extra width, all buffeting has pretty much been eliminated.

Ont thing I noticed at the beginning was that you can feel more resistance when driving at speed behind trucks or in a crosswind for example but nothing you cant get used to.

On the holes, unless they screwed up at the factory; Don't tighten anything until you have all the bolts in and use ALL the chrome and rubber lining material. Its tough to get it all lined up by yourself so patience and a second set of hands helps.

Clearview windshield

I got the largest windshield with recurve and untinted as I am 6'2". Works perfect. Depending on my sitting position I look just over the top of the shield or just under it. No more buffeting at all. I also bought the shield air flow vent. Only frustrating thing is I forgot to ask for my VBA discount. Bought it directly from the manufacturer.
