That is a good price.
You didn't like it or did you get rid of the bike?

Is that just the front seat? Looks like a stock passenger seat.

You should also put in your height and weight so that people know what size person the seat was made for.

Unless you send Daylong an imprint of your ass or specify exactly what you desire in the build I doubt that the seats are made much differently from person to person.
Sending them photos of you and your passenger on the bike cant really give them that much information in my opinion. |

They do look amazingly comfortable although very over priced. 1000.00 seat is unreasonable and out of reach for most of your average riders imo. I have never seen one of these in the flesh which tells me they aren't selling nearly as many as the competition. This must be due to cost because it seems everyone who has one loves them. Of course if I spent that much on a seat, I would tell everyone I loved it even if I hated it. I'm waiting for the right used one to show up for sale.

I don't know who sells more but based on participating on 3 different forums RDL has the highest percentage of satisfied customers. I suspect it's because of their patented design. Support around the rim is different than most.
There are ways to keep the cost similar to Mustang and Corbin. Remember the true net cost of a seat is what you pay for it minus what you sell it for, not to mention which one gives your butt the best pay back. When I owned my Nomad my butt hurt like heck for over 4 years. If I had to do it all over again I would have bought an RDL when I first got the bike. Used ones are hard to come by and no guarantee it will fit you. This is not to say that a Mustang or Corbin will not be as comfortable for someone but I think the chances or lower.

My stocker feels like I'm riding on a cinder block and I've been through 2 back surgeries so I really want ( need ) one of these but I'm unable to afford a new one.
