Tail lights and turn signals

So I have an idea and trying to see if it's possible or suggestions on parts. I'm thinking of adding lights to the saddlebag, making them run/brake lights. Then I think it would look good to remove the turn signal bar and add amber LEDs on the chrome fillers for turn signals.
Wondering if anyone has done this, move the license plate to below the brake light to cover up the holes from the turn signal bar.
Thinking it would declutter the rear end and make it look good.
Any suggestions or links to other posts would be appreciated. Thanks.

did you try to use the "search" function? i'm sure someone else has done this before. Use the search function and look in the Nomad 1500/1600 section. I'm interested in doing this as well but have too much happening right now.

Don't have any ideas for the plate relocation but heres a link to a thread looking for pictures of what others have done for hardbag lights. Might give you some ideas in that area.

Light Bars from Custom Dynamics

I went to custom Dynamics bought the (8" Red Mega Plasma Rods). I installed them myself in between the bags and side filler and it worked great. they make a huge difference. I used them for runinng and brake light only. I left my turn signals alone. I will post a picture soon. Here is the link.

put two tear drop chrome lights on the backs of the saddle bags as additional lights on my 2002. these are amber tops for turn with red lowers for brake and tail. not dot lights and still have all the stock lights. used 4 way trailer connectors at the saddle bag for ease of removal of complete bag. have had them on for 4 years now. bought them from class 8 chrome on line

I will be installing these once I am done with the fairing.
These pics are from test fitting.

Thanks! Those look good. I've changed my mine about the project to save some money. I'll still out mini tombstone lights I the bags, but turn the original lights to LED's. I'll probably still add the LED strips like XedoS69 did

Cutting holes for lamps in the saddle bags can be tricky since these are all compound curves think 3 times and cut once. These saddle bags cost 1000 bucks each new. I added lamps to the spreader bar with 1157 bulbs. I don't like leds as they are too directional to suit me. That means if the viewing eye isn't lined up the eye doesn't see it. BTW like my vanity plate?
