Question Suggestions for Slip On Mufflers For Voyager

Would like to get a little more sound from the bike but nothing obnoxious. I have looked at both Vance & Hines, also Cobra Billet tip slip-ons. From a few items that I have read it seems like the V&H are very loud. Am not looking to do any other performance mods, any first hand information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

The Cobra round bodied s/o's make a bit more power and not much of an increase in noise. Also the Cobra Tri-ovals are not too loud and have a sweet turbine-like sound to them. The V&H are the loudest in comparison to the above but not obnoxiously so.

Also de-baffling of the stock mufflers offers a performance gain and slight increase in sound.

I have the Cobra Tri OVals and Love them - The perfect sound at idle - can sneak out of the neighborhood in the early AM without waking the neighbors, but open it up and let her roar . . .

The 09 and 2010 mufflers are louder than the 2011 and up and can probably be had much cheaper than aftermarket slip ons. My 2010 is loud enough for me.

Question, if you do go with the slip on pipes, is there any other mods you have to do? I have read post in the past about you will need to put on a fuel manager due to more air flow.

If you do the slip on only no need for a fuel management system

Is that true for any exhaust system on this bike? Meaning, if you don't need it for slip on's, do I need it for the freedom performance system or not? I am thinking that system may open it up so it needs more intake?

I'm happy with my Tri-Ovals, sound good and are holding up well.. I took them off my Voyager and put them on my Nomad and everything lined up w/o a problem.

Ovation Dave.. with FP you might need a fuel management since ur changing the entire flow of exhaust playing with back pressure... Racnray could specify for ya
