If Cam chain extenders are ok and noise still there
Hi Pete,
Sounds sillly and i am sure you have thought of it but if you still run the stock pipes then the chrome covers rattle and shake and can really sound like a cam rattling. Most nomads i have heard do this and you can actually hear the rattle as they role past you when you are standing on the curb. The rattle increases with speed and meets most criteria for cam chain noise. To fix replace pipes or just tighetn the hose clamps that hold them on. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Thanks ossie, that's one to keep an eye (ear ?) on in the future.
I did a complete strip down last October to do all the fluids, oils, grease and suspension with a few mods thrown in (some ongoing). Every last nut/bolt and screw got torqued and checked twice...well most lol. Heading off for an Australia day ride on sunday so that should iron out any bugs that might happen. cheers, Pete. |
