XM Radio Installation Question
Has anyone added the XM Radio to their bike? I went to the dealership today and they quoted me at 2.5 hours at $75 an hour for labor.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever added an XM radio through the dealership. What did they charge you and how many hours of labor? Thanks Login or Register to Remove Ads |

While I haven't had it installed, I know that the fairing has to be removed, as it mounts there. With typical factory labor estimates, I'm not surprised. While I would love to have one, the cost of the unit itself has kept me away. I know there are aftermarket styles that can be added at much less expense, but you lose the ability to control it with the integrated system. Wah!

Taking the skin off of the fairing is fairly easy to do yourself. The labor time sounds about right but they could do it in less than an hour if they wanted to and actually probably would. Send me a message with your email and I will send you the instructions I received in order to get the skin of the fairing off. It's pretty easy.
