Voyager Mirrors

Having now been riding the Voyager for a bit over a month I have found one thing I would like to improve; the mirrors. The stock mirrors do not give me a good view of what is right behind me, no matter how I adjust them. While I am by no means a narrow person I think I do need mirrors that stick out a bit further. Does anyone have after market mirrors that have worked well for them?

I had picked up a set of mirror extenders off of eBay for about $20 . . here is similar:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Black-8mm...bdb113&vxp=mtr

They worked well . . . Then when I installed the Kury turn signal mirrors with convex glass . . . I no longer need them because the Kurys have longer stems and I could see around my shoulders with them . . . They are now on a Vaquero roaming around Kansas . . .

+1 on the mirror extenders-well worth the price.

When I heard so done talking about mirror extenders I thought they sounded like the most unnecessary piece of crap ever. This summer I had a few eBay bucks to blow and saw some and figured I would see. I got a pair for $23 I think.

I agree, they are excellent additions, especially if you have a trunk installed. They were very easy to install. That tiny change in elevation and width make a world of difference. You practically have a full view from behind. I wondered if it would blur up the view in the mirror due to vibration but they didn't change at all.

I took a look at the mirror extenders on eBay and the info provided said they would not fit on a Voyager, though it sounds like they worked just fine for you. How much further out do the Kuryakyn mirrors extend as compared to the stock mirrors. I like the idea of have some additional lighting as well as better vision behind me.

They don't stick out too much more - just enough to let you see. here's a pic of them on the Voyager.

Check eBay for (I think) 10mm extenders and you will be fine

Those little mirror extenders are the bomb! I first put them on my Voyager and it made all the difference. I also put those small round wide-angle stick on do-dads on my mirrors too, which help a lot. You can see both the extenders and round mirror pieces in the first photo below.

I liked the setup so much that when I bought my Victory and was trading in the Voyager, I asked them if I could take the Voyager mirrors and extenders and put them on my new Vic....and put the Vic mirrors back on the Voyager. They had no issues with it so that's what I did. You can see them in the second pic. Pick up a set....they are cheap and work great!

I use mirrors from a Kawasaki 900 Custom on my Voyager. They are a bit larger and have long enough stems to see around my shoulders and trunk. And they look like, well....... original Kawasaki parts!

I was tired of seeing my arms or jacket in my mirrors. Bought the extenders and now I see behind me...kind of miss seeing my jacket....lol...well worth their money. Bought on e-bay around 15.00 dollars. Life saver and they make riding a lot more enjoyable when leading the ride. I can see everyone when I am checking.

Ok... I win so far! I found mine on Ebay international out of Hong Kong (almost local) for $11.72 plus $3.66 shipping. Couldn't do without them, and the black (in my opinion) matches the Voyager controls a lot better than the chrome / alloy finish.
