Alabama Nomad Rider Checking In

I'm still alive and well. Just had back surgery September 10. Something I needed to have done long ago but kept putting up with the pain. Started having terrible pain from my hips down through my left leg. After two MRI's talked with a neurosurgeon and surgery was the result. Feel much better now though I have to really take care of the back.

Still have my 2008 Nomad although I ride very little these days. May end up and sell it.

Take care guys and be safe.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Hey Dave, it wasn't me doing the copying and pasting. That was the guy in Georgia. I can't recall his handle now. He was always posting things that could irritate some people. He is the one that talked about shooting and killing cats. I don't think I ever posted anything viral.

Hi Gene! Glad to hear that you're doing well. Surgury is never fun but some times it's the only resort. Take care of yourself and hopefully you can get back to rding more.

Thanks Bob. It wasn't something I wanted to have done but it was necessary. I do feel a lot better. How have you been?

Oh no. Not the back thing and selling the bike.
Hopefully you'll recover and we can meet up someday.

Hi Gene.....Yes , you have been missed. Sorry to hear you had to go under the knife, but like Bob said, "some times it's the only resort". Hope you recover better than ever, and are able to get back to riding.

Hang In There ! ... "Bite The Bullet" ... Grit Your Teeth, and Get In The Wind .

I have a 'fusion" @ C5/C6...collapsed disc in the lower back...major-pain in the right hip and leg

I have had several incidents where my neck injury caused extreme dizzyness, and I'v had to slam on the brakes and get the kick stand down...roll off the bike, and lay alongside it for a few minutes, til I recover (This happened -again- in 2010, just as I exited the I-90 into Sturges, SoDak ...during the Struges Bike Week.. As I layed by my Big Assed Bike, about a thousand bikers went by and no one payed any attention ! (There are so many drugged -drunk- freaks, at those Rally's...no one notices !)

Long Story Short ..keep your bike..ride shorter trips !
