Check the electrical connection by the clutch lever.
Unhook it, clean it, and put it back on.

Check the kill switch on the handlebars. Take the right side housing apart and inspect the connections. Also, check the connections on the starter relay located under the right side cover. Mine had some corrosion on the ends which caused some intermittent starting problems.

Always check fuses for continuity. Use a volt ohm meter. A fuse can look good but actually be blown on an end where you can't see it.

First Sylvain, remove and clean the battery cable connections and tighten them back up. Undo the neg first, put back the neg last so you don't accidentally short something if the wrench slips. Yeah I know new battery, but maybe when they installed it the connections are not the tightist. Also can you get a volt meter? Check what the battery reads. Full charge should be 12.7 at least on a new battery.
Too bad I'm at the cottage for 2 weeks, otherwise I would come over and give you a hand.

What is nothing? Answer that and make sure you have not pulled the clutch lever connector OFF by mistake. Everyone does that sooner or later. I don't mean dangling either just pulled off a little bit is all it takes.
There are side stand switch clutch switch, and neutral switch, plus the red engine kill button that can mess with your head.

Does the fuel pump hum for a couple seconds when you turn on the key? It should, if not its most likely the ignition switch, try turning on and off briskly a few times.
Also check the kill switch and sidestand switch and neutral as Bill mentioned.

Maybe the switch, but have you checked that the battery is full charge first? Or try jumping it with a car battery with the car off? This way you know you are hunting for a issue in the electrical system and have at least eliminated one possible cause. Do you have a multi meter?

Hey, Sly good thing this didn't happen on the ride last week. It would have been the ultimate insult, you would have had to get a ride home on the back of VulcanGuy's Wing!
