I hate to have to do it.......

It's a sad, sad day... I've come to the realization that due to my current circumstances, I should sell my baby. Here's a link to my ad if anyone is in or around Indiana and might be interested.....

I hate to hear this, and I hope things start looking up very quick for you. I do have a question for you on the 12" mini-apes you mounted. Did all the hoses and wires work, or did you have to lengthen anything? I'm thinking about the 12" mini-apes myself.

That's too bad. You've only had the bike maybe 8 months, right?

They were installed by the previous owner but yes, all the lines and cables are stock.

Yeah. But I've managed to put about 8000 miles on it in those 8 months. Not bad considering that was thru a long winter.

I don't want to let it go but I need to buy a decent cage to haul my baby boy around in when he gets here in August.

Since it used to be my bike (and I put the bars on), I can answer this. I had to reroute the hoses behind the tree and the cables aren't as loose as they were stock but they worked well. There was a LOT of extra length in the cables/hoses/wires, stock. Don Myers made the bars. I don't know if wider bars would require longer cables/hoses/wires. Those bars are wide enough (and felt great) but I've seem some bars that are probably wider (like Utahs, I think).

Good luck on the sale, Jason. Too bad you have to sell her so quickly.

Good for you .. being a dad is not necessarily a circumstance, but an adventure .. someday, like me, you'll be preparing for a trip with your kid on a brand new ride..
Good luck on the sale ... you'll be back before you know it!

I think Monkey was the third owner, right? You're the forth? Soon to have five owners on a 6 year old bike. :(

Family first in everything.

You have your priorities correct! You are doing something that so many parents fail to do. Make their children the priority.

Many of us on this site got back into bikes after the kids got older so we will probably see you when you return. enjoy the formative years.........they go by fast.

Congrats on the new addition to the family.

Yeah. I was the 3rd. The owner before me was a private aircraft mechanic who kept the bike in the same hanger they parked the $50 million Gulfstream. :) You could eat off the floor.

You know... everybody says that... and you know what else?

THEY WERE RIGHT!

At times it might seem forever... but all of a sudden it is over.

Bikes or whatever else can wait...

Oh... by the way signal40... glad to see you put some of the miles on it that Chris didn't! (Sorry Chris... couldn't resist! )

Sometimes, the truth hurts. I'm not mad. I enjoyed the bike but I spent way too much time trying to make it into something it wasn't when I should have been out there riding. The seat made my butt hurt after about 40 miles, there was too much wind, etc, etc. As nice as it was, it just wasn't the bike for me. I've put more than twice the miles on my Victory during the winter months than I did the whole year I had the Nomad. Different strokes for different folks. (At least that's what that pretty prostitute said.)
