Half Cover

Does anybody use a half cover and could you recommend a good one? The Harley guys have the black & orange one. I've only found black, gray & cranberry colored covers. Don't know which ones are better quality.

I saw a seat cover for the vaquero once on ebay but when I went back to get one it was gone and I haven't seen them since, would be great on nights I ride to work and don't want to take my bike cover. Would beat bringing a towel to wipe the seat off every time too lol.

Nelson Rigg has a great reputation, I have been using one for 12 years now.
This is a half cover, is it what you are looking for?

That's the same cover that I bought last year. It fits my bike great. I have a full fairing with trunk mounted and the color fits extremely well.

The Dowco Guardian cover I bought for my Nomad fit fine with the fairing and tourpak and I still use it with my Harley. It's a full cover, though.

Covers are sized by class of bike. a half cover for a large touring bike should fit a Nomad with a fairing. All the cover manufacturers have fitment charts.

Thanks for the info. I found those brands previously mentioned. But in all their fitment descriptions, they only mention the Voyager up to the 2003 year. They all show Goldwings and big Harleys in their pics so I would guess it would fit a late model Voyager. I know the Harley ones have 2 holes for the antennas on them. There's no mention of that on any other brand nor is it seen in their pictures of the cover on a bike.

If a cover will fit a full dress Harley it will fit your Voyager. My cover doesn't have slits for the CB and AM/FM antennas, so I just unscrew them when I cover the bike.

I've been using one of these (silver) for about 7 years now. I have a 1600 with fairing and tour Pak, and it fits great. It is also available in black. http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/119...er-Half-Covers

I use this one as well on my 2012 Voyageur when I'm traveling. Fits it perfect.

Thumbs Up

Check out this site www.tourking.us I have used this on every bike I've owned. All 14 of them. Great for traveling and rolls up very small. Works well in heavy rain also. It will keep your seat dry and the upper half of your bike. Protects it from the sun also.

I had a 2003 Nomad 1500. I bought a $20 cover from WalMart. Fits great, had it for 4 years . Has heat shield type material on the bottom.

Why buy this cheap cover....several reasons;

1) It is cheap!
2) A wise old motorcycling veteran suggested to go with the cheapest looking cover you can find. Thieves will go after your bike last!
3) It is light, comes in a stuff bag that is easy to pack on trips. Easy to put on as well.
4) I will also throw it over the bike when I store it in the garage for more than a week
5) I also throw it over the bike when I have the garage door open while I am mowing or using my blower to keep the dust off it.
