Freewheelin' to New Mexico |Trip Report | 3/3

I meant to write a trip report after I posted our photo album and made another post about our new gear that we used on that trip.

This is the last piece about our epic trip to New Mexico but I'm running into an issue when I try to paste the trip report into a new posting: "The text that you have entered is too long (38497 characters). Please shorten it to 10000 characters long."

Instead of trying to shorten the text, I will simply provide the link to New Mexico pages on our web log.

Hope those pages help members when planning their rides through the states we traveled.

Cheers,

E.

That was one heck of a trip, Elvis! It gets hot out here in the Southwest, doesn't it?

Thanks for visiting our country.

CJ, it's a special treat whenever we travel in the States. We've been lucky so far and hope to be able to take these trips in the future.

You should take your Ultra to Beautiful British Columbia and Alberta. It's very nice out here. I also read and hear Maritime Provinces are beautiful, too.

It really gets hot in the Southwest but the most challenging ride due to high temps was in North Cascades, WA a couple years ago (I know it is hard to believe).

Just an attempt to contribute to the boards...

Riding anytime, anywhere but riding to Colorado especially sounds great and certainly penciled in on my calendar.

Elvis,
Thanks for sharing. That looks like quite the trip you two had. I see that some of your travels were through some of the same country that Hammer and I travelled in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona last June as well. Great country but hotter than hell for us Canadians!

Reading your blog makes me wish that it was summer again and that I'm ready to head out on the road.

Gents, glad you like the photos and all. If you have wintery conditions where you live, hope the material gives the warm-and-fuzzies...

The New Mexican food is very good. It's spicier than usual Mexican food we get out here or most places in the States.

The same here. (it's bloody snowing out here, the traffic is a mess).

Agree about the weather...

Utah and Arizona are very special, so unique and just great to travel, ride your bike and forget about everything.

Elvis,

I prefer New Mexican cuisine because they cook with Hatch chiles. Fortunately there are a lot of places here to find it. I like it much better than the Sonoran food that is so common here.

Elvis, what a great trip. 22 days on the road and over 5000 miles had to be a blast. Nice blog too.
