Thinking of.....
our friends and their families.....
It might be a little early for our friends on the east coast of the U.S. to respond but I want to say I hope everyone is healthy and safe, and made it through that deadly storm. It was heart breaking to see what happened, from what ended up being something short of a hurricane when it came inland. As of tonight it continues, although at a lesser degree of devastation, up towards my country of Canada. I hope everyone takes care and stays safe. Please check in and let us know all is well.

Safe and sound here in Delaware. I live in the middle of the state, so it wasn't as bad as the shore areas. My Nomad has sat in the parking thru Irene and Sandy with no problems. I too hope everyone else is ok.

Total destruction on or near the coastlines of NY and NJ.
We faired well inland, just crazy wind. Tons of trees down and lost power for 17 hours. Not a lot of rain or flooding surprisingly, Irene was worse for us. Hope everyone is OK! |

I live on the west side of NC and we mostly got 40 mph winds and a little rain. The folks farther west in the Smoky Mountains got record October snow.
On the behalf the folks in the hurricane stricken areas thanks for thinking about us Rick.

Doing good in my hood- Queens. 2 hour long waits for gas though. Was in Rockaway today- the beach sand was lifted and deposited 1 block inland... 6' high water means trashed homes, cars and lives lost. Very scary and tragic.
