Well I have never rode with these wind deflectors, is there a difference? or are they just more for a cross wind to catch?

Are the wind deflectors adjustable? My bike came stock with them and they do make a big difference, although I can open/close mine to direct airflow when it's hot out (which is a lot of the time here). When they are closed, they really do a good job of deflecting air, and the air behind the fairing is nice and calm.

I had them on my fairing and they worked well. The Premeux fairings come with threaded inserts in them that accept the stock HD deflectors. They are available for about $30.00 a pair.
