Help....Bike died on way home
A ice pick test light makes checking fuses a snap. You don't even need to pull the fuse.

Help....Bike died on way home
The best way is to pull the fuse and test it. Last year I had a fuse that tested good on top, but was no good on the bottom where it plugged into the fuse panel. That kept me puzzled for two days, and I pulled half the bike apart looking for a problem that wasn't there.

Help....Bike died on way home
All I know is when I tested the fuse in the fuse block it appeared to be good, when I finally pulled it out and tested it on the bottom tabs it was bad. And when you looked at it through the plastic the filament inside didn't look blown, but it didn't look right either.

Help....Bike died on way home
Pop open the gas cap and try it again. I had this nappen to me, right after filling the tank. I ended up taking the little plastic plunger piece out of the cap assembly.

Help....Bike died on way home
Mine is a 2005 1600
as you pull the electrical pump out of the fuel control module there is a approximately 3/4 long rubber seal this seal split in half causing the fuel to rush past it instead of building presure causing the gas to go back to the tank and not to the motor. I will try to post pictures when i can get to it. the fuel line was just to replace the seal blown out. |

Help....Bike died on way home
I had the same thing happen the first Summer I had the 'Nad. It was right after filling up. I'd go about a mile and it would die. I opened the gas cap, closed it back up and it ran for a nfew miles and did the same thing. What I ended up doing, was to take the little plastic flapper valve out of the gas cap. apparently, this wasn't breathing correctly and it was causing the fuel tank to flow lock, because there was no positive air flow.
