Just got off the phone with Walnut Hills Campground in Staunton, VA.

They are going to get back to me tomorrow about rates and such but it sounds like they will be willing to host our camping/cottage members. The manager on duty suggested the Days Inn right up the road near the interstate.

The VRA stayed at a KOA in Kentucky this year for its rally, all enjoyed the grounds and the KOA folks...this is prolly a good choice too :)

Sweet. Only 369 miles from here. A short day's ride. I can handle this.

It looks like there is a little lake/pond on the property and it appears to be relatively level. (Beats the dickens out of the campground in Custer).

Did we ever get any more Info about WalnutHillsCampGround? I'm really interested in the cabin rentals. ::)Debby said a tent is out of the question! Last time I got her to go camping she got into some poison ivy & got ate up by skeeters & so she said no more camping in a tent ::)! And I'm not staying in a motel with Joe I've heard about him!

(just joking Joe) How is the wrist?
