K & N filter?

I know that when you clean a k&n filter you have to re-oil the element before using it. Do I need to oil my new filter before using it? It looks dry. I e-mailed k&n but they haven't responded.

K & N filter?

I've had K&H filters on all my bikes and cars for years, and they all have come oiled out of the box. If they're pink, they're oiled; unless they have changed oil colors. When I've cleaned them, they turn white before re-oiling.

K & N filter?

I may be wrong but all I have ever seen for many different applications come pre-oiled.

K & N filter?

I bought one a few months back and it has a bag around it saying PRE-OILED. its pink. the pink color will fade pretty fast down here in the UV light city. But thats just a dye they add so you can tell if you have opiled it all on the first cleaning. :-)

K & N filter?

Unless K&N has changed how they do things, they come pre-oiled from the factory. Mine did when I bought it several months ago.

Thanks to all of you. I thought it was oiled, but it was just in the box with no info. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks again.
