Lowers-pics

Mentioned in an earlier post that I had installed some large, lowers. Took her for a ride again today and opened her up on the highway and could not believe the difference in turbulence. Smooth as can be now, just plain old wind noise now by my helmet. Thought I would show the new lowers, got them on ebay from a fellow on the East coast.
After I washed her up, come on now, is there really a better looking hard bagger out there? I looked at Honda, Yamy and Suzuki, but none came close to the dressed package and performance. Man!! I just love this bike, can't wait untill next spring when the wife and I can take some long trips..........

I'm surprised your lowers work as good as they do from the pic you posted. My oversize lowers come all the way up to the fairing and curve to match the bottom of the fairing perfectly. Almost like one piece. I've conveyed how nice it is with my Nomad. Wind tiring me out is now never an issue.

I have often wondered about the gap between the windshield and lowers and why it does not seem to make much difference in reduced turbulence. Also the gap between the headlight bucket and the windshield when the windshield is mounted high as Voyagers seem to be. I thought that was why Kawi put that second shield in place so that we could lower it to fit close to the headlight to reduce buffeting. Oh well.

Glad that the lowers work. Guess one should not look a gift horse in the mouth. Just accept that it is there.

My stock one's sure didn't work worth a sh*t. wonder why MaKaw even put the stock one's on.

They look pretty good, are they aftermarket lowers or a homeade version?

They're a home made version. The fellow purchases the sheets and custom fits them to your bike and model. Nice thing about them is they're roughly a third thicker than stock, so cracking at the support plate isn't an issue due to its oversize and catching more wind. Only $35.00 Cdn.
