Clearance b/t rear diff drain bolt and pipes
Does anyone else who has the V&H Baggers notice the left side being VERY close (ie, w/in 1/64th, if not hitting) of the exhaust pipe? If so, how have you remidied this, if at all? Is there a flat-head bolt, perhaps an Allen head, that'll directly replace it?
Thanks for any/all insight, Daryl :) Login or Register to Remove Ads |

ds06nomad: I've heard this is very common on the V&H Baggers. I would suggest removing the left side bag and loosening up the left muffler and wedging a small piece of wood between pipe and bag frame to give you an extra 1/2 inch room. A 15 minute extra hastle maybe.....

I appreciate your info, though... I am new to the Nomad and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the bike... so any/all info is always welcome and very much appreciated! I will take it to heart and remember it or at least reference it when the time comes for the rear gear oil change. Cheers, Daryl |

Tranny drain bolt???? Where the h*ll is that? I thought that transmission and engine oil was all one in the same. Did I miss something?

Yeah, I meant the rear diff. I corrected the thread title.

What a relief. I have had my Nomad since the end of July and just barely found the bolt for that unknown filter this week. I was afraid that I had to find another one somewhere.
