Large lowers, redneck style

I had a really rough bobble head day yesterday so I decided to take action.
I have been wanting to replace my stock lowers and “Idaho (High Plains Drifter)” sent me this pattern a long time ago so I thought I would try a test run first.
I cut these out of ¼” plywood and went for a test spin on the freeway.
I noticed a difference immediately.
At 80 mph I could feel a slight push from behind my head but no buffeting.
I put the stock lowers back on to compare and wow, what a difference.
The larger lowers were just as comfortable at 90 mph as the stock were at 70 mph.
(BTW: the speeds referenced was as the speedometer indicated. My speedo reads about +5 at speeds greater than 50 mph)

Now to get a replacement for the plywood and I’ll be happy.
