I like your bike. Thanks for sharing the pic.[/quote]

Hey dude I apologize for my post, I hadn't realized you had already bought your '08.

Yours is a beautiful bike and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my '05. I rode my '05 Nomad over 500 miles a day to the mountains more than once and would have kept it if the Goldwing bug hadn't bitten me in '06 (mistake), and I sold it. I now realize that I like cruisers more than trunk laden, cowl trimmed tourers.

There's something about the 1600s that looks more streamlined, lower, than the 1700s (almost slinky) that I love; I think they're one of the best looking cruisers ever!

You can expect to change out your clutch spring, seems to be a very common problem with the Nomads. My 08 clutch started slipping at 14000 miles replaced it with a Barrett HD clutch spring (about $25+ gasket). I also got the GoldWing bug and bought one, then put the Nomad up for sale...no luck. Turns out "no luck" was good luck for me. I have two scoots and enjoy them both A LOT! I set the Nomad up solo (Great looking solo bike) and keep the Wing for when Mama comes along. My only regret is that I sold all my stuff (risers, backrest, TFI, etc on this board) now I have to re-buy them all again.
