Brake Question

I have a problem with my front brakes. I changed the pads and now I get a sound like a cicada makes. The sound is not there until I use the brakes, and the sound is greater the more I apply the brake. I did not have the problem before I changed the pads, and my rotors are in good shape. I do not believe it is the pads, but one of the seals on one of the pistons. I have no mechanical aptitude, I base my theory on looking at a picture of the brakes on Ron Ayers site. Does anyone have any idea of what might be causing the sound and what a solution might be?
