National Cycle fender tip
So wifey bought me a Show Chrome side covers and the National Cycle fender tip for Christmas. Got the side covers installed in just minutes. The fender tip however was a different story. First of all having to drill the 3 holes in the fender didn't excite me much. Then the screws that came with the tip weren't long enough due to the hemmed edge of the fender. So off to the hardware store to buy some longer stainless steel screws. I bought both the 1/2" and 3/4" to be on the safe side. The 1/2" inch did the trick. She bought the tip to cover up a few rock chips in the paint, unfortunately I the fender got scratched in a visible spot trying to get it installed. Good thing I have a buddy that owns a body shop and mixed me up some touch up paint. I like the way it looks once its installed (even thought it is about a 1/4" off center), but I won't install another one if I ever get a different Nomad. I was thinking about installing the rails on the saddle bags but now I'm a little leery. Those of you that installed them let me know how it went. :-/
