Summer riding tips
So summer time and hot weather are fast approaching. You guys in the south central group know as well as I do how hot it gets around here.
What are some tips/products that Yall use to keep your butt from sweating during these hot riding months?

Yep on the powder. Sweat still but the powder helps with other problems.

Summer riding tips
As for as riding in the summer I was born and raised in the South and no matter what you are doing in July & Aug. it is hot so I just ride and enjoy the hot air blowing in my face but I do have powder and sheepskin for the other part of my body.

Riding naked will have its issues. Do you lather up with sunscreen? Will you look like you are a frothing hedgehog? Will you make people mad and sick at the same time? Will you end up in the E.R. with sun burned privates? Will you end up in jail sun burned and sore? Will your roommate care if it hurts? Will you end up in the mental hospital? I would go with drinking lots of fluids...

Seriously, I guess the main thing here in the south is very simple. Keep moving. Like Jim said, it's just too darn hot , and there's not much else you can do besides keeping hydrated. By the way, nobody on this planet in his right mind wants to see me naked on anything. LOL !!

Summer riding tips
Thanks for the input guys. I'm used to the sweating. I've lived in Mississippi all my life, and I work in a sweat box lol. This question was more for my wife haha!

Summer riding tips
UnderArmor underwear helps wick away some unwanted moisture and helps keep chafing minimal. I ride with beaded seat cover when it's warm enough (we've had crazy weather with record lows this past week). I don't even strap it down cuz it stays in place good, Easy to take off and put in saddlebag. I also use a nelson tank bag with a liner which holds a ten lb bag of ice. Can stick my hand in and cool my wrists, munch on ice, wet a rag and wipe my face and neck. Hydrate and take breaks.
It was so hot once that we stopped and got a 20lb bag of ice and my wife held it between us and we just let it melt. Looked like we wet our britches and our seats were soggy but we kept our cool and made it home. It would have been better if the bag didn't leak. Works in a pinch. :)
