Front tire replacement
OK guys. How do I get the inside hex head bolt off that holds my front axle? I can't find an allen wrnch that big and no store has the socket to fit.

You must be talking about the 1600. Use the spark plug wrench out of your tool box, same size. Make sure you loosen the two little bolts on the same fork, bottom, before you use the spark plug wrench.

Front tire replacement
Here's a description and link to a tool I was looking at for the next front tire change. My spark plug wrench worked fine, but I'll never be able to use it for removing a spark plug again, as it did bend a little bit. The link below is pretty long, but you should be able to copy and paste it into your URL.
Tusk Hex Axle Tool Regular: $19.99 Our price: $14.99 Part# 1195980001 http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/pr...161061&ref=gmc

Front tire replacement
When it comes to large "allen" or "Hex" heads I try to find a bolt that will fit into the head, then weld a nut on to that bolt. Cheep easy fix to the problem of finding a large hex wrench or allen key

Sorry about not adding the 1600 Nomad. Thanks for the info. I will buy the tool instead of using the spark plug wrench.

Front tire replacement
Unfortunately, I don't have access to a welder, otherwise I would too.

If you are talking about using a metric bolt head you don't need a welder.Just install two nuts on the bolt and one will serve as a lock for the other.
