2002 1500 Fi in Charlotte NC
Hi to all!
Recently purchased a 2002 1500 Fi with 25k on the odo, pretty much stock all around and meticulous records of timely dealer maintenance and oil changes. Runs smoothly, rides well, 42 MPG, no complaints. That is except for the acceleration ticking noise that is searing my brain. I moved up from a VN750 and thought IT was a noisy machine, but this 1500 is worse. I'm running 93 octane as advised to do. Ticking is during roll on only, not during decel, down shift engine braking or at idle. Not present when revving engine at a light either. Just when it's in gear moving forward. I've been told it's normal and to get over it. Really? there's nothing to be done? No damage is being done anywhere? Anyway, welcome to Me and hello to you! Login or Register to Remove Ads |
