Hand guards not gonna help

By the time it got done snowing the drift under the kitchen window was over 7 feet high, and the Nissan was just a memory in the carport. Not a lot of snow on the flat but anywhere there was an obstacle to stop the driving snow, the drifts are amazing. Started to dig out yesterday; it snowed most of the day but the wind finally backed off a bit so it wasn't drifting too much. The snow pile on the south side of the driveway is over 6 feet high and the one in the front of the house is 12 feet high.



The pic on the left is the back door; there is a 4 foot step under there somewhere. The second one was taken by me standing flat against the house and looking up at the top of the drift under the kitchen window.



This is from the back of the house to the front; there is a skid steer on the other side of the drift moving snow.

Got up this morning to -33C, which is -27F. Gotta get the cars started and go to work. I probably won't work today since I work with PVC, in a very old building that has one working heater and it will be about 2 above in the place today. Can't work with plastic if it's too cold.
