It must be Spring

Ok, so I'm sitting in a line waiting at a carwash when I hear pipes....yes, pipes. I look up to see some type of bike that has been modified to look like a bobber with ape hangers. Anyway, I see a guy actually riding a motorcycle in a leather jacket, no gloves, jeans, and no helmet/head gear.

I then looked down at my thermometer and it said 34F. I live in Minnesota and we did reach an usually warm day of about 37, but there is at least a foot of snow still on the ground even though the roads are clear.

I guess for some, spring comes early......I think the guy was nuts, but hey, that's just me.

Maybe there's hope for the end of the deepfreeze.

I will most likely be riding mine, in Sioux Falls, SD, this thursday or friday to take it in for tires. Supposed to be mid 30's I think.

Sorry, but that's crazy. I ride down here in the 20's and 30's and I make sure to bundle up. No gloves and no helmet? Clearly that's an attempt to impress people and show what a tough guy he is.

Sounds like his head hasn't thawed yet.

Wish it was me riding around.

SWB,

It's all relative. If you've been in the deep freeze for too long, 30's feel warm.

I was in syracuse last Sat. and saw three guys riding their crotch rockets. It was 40 degrees but there is still snow on the road sides.
Of course there is still 4 feet of snow on my front lawn ::)

My father always told us kids, " NO sense, no feeling ". And then just last week I heard a guy tell another fellow, " If your going to be dumb, your got to be tough ". I am sure my father would have thought both of these things if he had been alive a couple of years ago when Liz and I left for Memphis, TN. on the bikes in 25 degree weather.

We still have snow on the ground today, but I went out for a long ride 4 days ago and it was a needed relief, geeze was I needing a ride. My bike has never been this dirty, but ya know, it was worth it. I'm hoping to get in another ride today, possible high of 65, very unusual for Chicago weather in February.
