So you don't wanna use a toilet gasket?
There is a common toilet gasket that some folks have used to replace missing rubber isolators under the Nomad bags. Mine weren't missing, but the plastic bags and the rubbers both seem to have shrunken up a bit after 5 years in the California sun. The bags were loose at the bottom, so I desided to put some thicker rubber under them. This is what I found:
On the left, the stock Kawi rubber. On the right a Mack 1 1/4" basin gasket from the local hardware store. $1.36 each. Note the flange on the Mack gasket is thicker, but the profile is different and it doesn't have the groove. It will not capture in the steel frame, so these are gonna fall loose each time you take the bags off unless you glue them. ![]() ![]() Here the Kawi gasket is on top & the Mack on the bottom. You can see the slight difference in thickness. ![]() My bags fit perfectly tight now, and I didn't spend a fortune either. If I lose one I should be able to get it in any hardware store.
